Cleanliness Activity Pack
Why is ensuring public cleanliness relevant to all of us? In what way is it a foundation for community life?
What forms of anti-social behaviour undermine public cleanliness? How can they be avoided?
Through activities based on skills learned at school, the Bruxelles-Propreté education team aims to make pupils aware of this civic theme. Through the activity, pupils discover the notion of anti-social behaviour, as well as good practices to adopt in order to preserve their living environment.

Intended for preschool and primary pupils, the Cleanliness Activity Pack includes:
- An analysis and advice visit to your school (mandatory). Organised with the school management team, this visit enables the Bruxelles-Propreté education team to take stock of the situation and propose practical solutions in terms of cleanliness, both within the school and around it.
- Activities for pupils: depending on the school’s needs and availability, the Bruxelles-Propreté education team runs a minimum of three activities (length: 1 hr for preschool classes – 1 hr 30 mins for primary classes).
- Clean-up: for primary classes in years 3 to 6, an end-of-year clean-up is organised in the area around the school. This makes it possible to implement what the pupils have learned during the year and to round off the Cleanliness Activity Pack in a fun way.
- Evaluation visit at the end of the year.
If you have any requests, please send an email to waste-anim@arp-gan.be.

Sorting Activity Pack
What is sorting? Why is it a responsible thing to do?
What happens to our sorted waste and how is it recycled? What are the official guidelines in Brussels?
The Bruxelles-Propreté education team offers your pupils the opportunity to learn about the theme of sorting and recycling through fun, instructive activities adapted to every schooling level (from preschool year 1 to primary year 6).

What does the Sorting Activity Pack include?
- An analysis and advice visit to your school (mandatory). Organised with the school management team, this visit enables the Bruxelles-Propreté education team to take stock of the situation and propose practical solutions for optimal sorting.
- Session for cleaning personnel: this information session aims to make school cleaning personnel aware of sorting and recycling guidelines. This session can also take place in the form of a visit to the sorting centre.
- Activities for pupils: depending on schooling level, the education team plans at least three activities in class (length: 1 hr for preschool classes – 1 hr 30 mins for primary classes).
- Sorting equipment: at the end of the Sorting Activity Pack, suitable equipment (yellow litter bins and blue containers) is installed within the school to allow children and adults to put into practice what they have learnt through the education activities organised by Bruxelles-Propreté.
- Evaluation visit at the end of the year.

If you have any requests, please send an email to waste-anim@arp-gan.be.
